Finally, the Weather Cooperates



After a solid week of clouds and intermittent rain, yesterday was a picture-perfect day in Punta. The beaches were packed, the restaurants were over-flowing, the people were smiling everywhere. The season was jump-started. My wife, her mother and I spent the day lounging by our pool, drinking "clerico" (white wine, lots of fruit, lots of ice), and thinking about where to eat dinner. We settled on Citrus, a second-floor restaurant on the point of the peninsula near the port, with excellent sushi, interesting fish and meat dishes, and sterling views both out to sea and back toward the port and the high-rises on shore.
